You can see how much worse it gets on the back but works amazingly on the side and front. Avoid using rainx original glass water repellent on any plastic surfaces including motorcycle windshields atvs and solar panels i fear if you did this it will damage the windshield by making it cloudy or discolored.

Its easy to use and specifically designed for plastics but it just doesnt seem to build up a hydrophobic coating as well as the glass product. It helps to keep the exterior of my boat clean and repells the water when i am boating. It removes the dirt and debris that accumulates on my boat when i take it to the lake. We have always used rain x on our car windshields and have had great success but you could never use it on plexiglass or other plastics like motorcycle visors and airplane windshields because it would make it brittle and potentially hazy.
