Hi i believe this is a common problem. Wps button blinking red. Possibly you inadvertently pressed the wps button on top of the router when moving it. Flashing green continues for 2 minute indicating wps is broadcasting. This is a possible security risk. It seems the connection became faulty at some stage hence why the wps light was always flashing the two boxes were continously trying to re establish a new connection even when they were in standby mode.
