How can i tell a wemo mini 1st gen from a 2nd gen. Please know the 1st gen wemo mini smart plug f7c063 does not have a homekit code label on the device. However wemo mini 1st gen requires the latest firmware update to add the homekit feature while wemo mini 2nd gen supports homekit right out of the box and no firmware update is needed. No hub or subscription required compact size. Homekit doesnt work with the old switches but i understand wemo is releasing a new model that does support homekit directly. Verify if your wemo supports apple homekit by checking if there is a homekit code label at the back or side of the device.
