Wemo away mode not working. You should have at least two bars of wi fi signal on your mobile device for the wemo to work properly. I get a notification on my phone saying away mode has been disabled because a light switch was turned off manually. I could complete the setup and control the device but if i unplugged it and plugged it back in it would not reconnect. Obstructions like walls cabinets and doors may interfere with your wi fi connectivity. Any tipstricks to get this thing working. I also have a wemo light switch by my front door for the outside lights but no away mode on this.
I deleted the away mode rule and recreated it. If you have set up two wemo 3 way light switches wls0403 on the same circuit to manage the same light and both of the light switches appear in the wemo app choose only one of the light switches to avoid rule conflicts. I go into the wemo app and sure enough away mode is on. I have been playing around with a wemo mini since february 2019. Delete a rule select a rule and tap delete rule. Hours later it still hasnt toggled any lights.
Unplug the smart plug wait for 20 seconds and then plug it back in. I assumed that the issue was connecting to my wifi. After that there is no longer a setup screen. To fix this problem first make sure that the 1st app is enabled of remote access. Turning off a wemo device while the away mode is in place disables the rule for the rest of the day.
