Rostra cruise control issue surging reply 3 on. August 30 2015 034530 pm i installed my rostra a few years back so its not real fresh in my mind but i believe the surging issue can be cured by changing the gain setting in the dip switches on the control unit.

As well rostra manufactures universal cruise control units that often require the purchase of additional items to function with certain vehicles including vehicle speed signal vss generators and control switches. This is the cause of the surging. 1 rostra claims initial engagement speed as low as 33 mph. My real world test concurrs.
February 26 2016 025849 pm my advice would be not to use the cruise control in any gears other than 5th or 6th preferably 6th and at any speeds below about 50. Rostra is a leading manufacturer of automotive comfort safety and convenience accessories including electronic cruise control systems led lighting exterior vehicle camera systems automotive lumbar supports and seat heaters add on navigation systems driver alert systems and so much more. 2 the audiovox 100 is not an electronic cruise but rather uses vaccuum. The rostra is not very well setup for high power low weight vehicles such as a c 14. Remember this device was made for autos with a much lower power to weight ratio. The majority of rostra manufactured cruise controls systems are sold as complete kits.
