Nest thermostat restarting back in a bit. Walked by it today noticed it didnt light up. Hello everyone just moved into our new house and am having trouble with my nest. How do i reset or restart my nest thermostat press your thermostat ring to open the quick view menu. Unplug it wait for 30. Fortunately the nest thermostat practically resets itself but it also offers other selections that you may use whenever something goes wrong. Turn the ring to reset then press select.
While youre waiting for your nest to boot back up go ahead and restart your router too. On your nest learning thermostat press the ring to bring up the main menu. Press the ring on the thermostat until the quick view menu appears. Push on the unit to select ok. To do this press the thermostat ring then go to settings reset restart ok. If the light is still blinking after reconnecting the device restart it by holding down the thermostat ring for 10 seconds.
After no response to a click and spin of dial i held it down until the green light blinked once then asked to attach display to its base which i did. Battery is too low to start. Push on the nest thermostat to select it. Turn to settings and press the ring again to select. A blinking green light will appear if the nest is turning on restarting or updating. Turn the ring to reset and press to select.
If the lights continue to blink for more than 5 minutes remove and reconnect the display. And thats all there is to it. Your nest thermostat will now restart and the process only takes a couple of minutes. Turn the scroll ring to the right until the dial reaches the other side. Select the settings icon. Then it said restarting back in a bit.
Scroll all the way to the right until you find reset.
