Jdm ej205 vs usdm ej205. Im wondering because i dont mind merging my harness with the jdm one myself but i can only find the post. The 207 bypasses that since it has tgvs and the same harness plug as the 205 usdm ecu. Im wanting to potentially swap my 98 25rs with a jdm ej205 with avcs and i was wondering if theres a difference between the jdm and usdm harnesses beside the usdm not having avcs plugs. You have to do cam triggers cam gears whole intake manifold ecu and more to get them to pass. Thats where all the wrong information of jdm will never pass smog comes in. Any vehicle that is wired for a usdm ej205 can use the 2001 2005 jdm ej205 and ej207 longblock but will require the addition of avcs wiring and an avcs compatible ecu.
