They expect you to drill holes into the frame channel to bolt a plate onto the frame. The easiest install would be to drill 2 holes 516 about 6 inches apart in the top of one side of the frame.

Drilling holes in trailer frame. Is it ok to drill holes into my v channel frame or should i reinforce box these areas especially the area where the takeups go. The additional bolt holes should not affect the integrity of your trailer frame.
