For four adapters please order two. Unless its a vr6 model which has the 5x100 bolt pattern so in general the mk4 wheels will not fit a mk 3.

Will 5x114 3 fit 5x100. The mk4 golf is 5x100 bolt pattern and the mk3 golf is 4x100. Sold as a pair of wheel adapters. What i got are 5x1143 wheel spacers. Using these adapters it would set the wheel up to basically be a 40 18x85 which after some research looked to be quite optimali did a lot of measuring to see if the wheels would clear the 5x100 studs. Becuase the bolts are placed in a bigger circle there will be a bigger space between any 2 holes but it would take alot to break out the center even in a 5x100 so it doesnt really seem like the reason. This was supposed to adapt 2009 toyota matrix 5x100 to 2005 ford 5x1143.

No stress no tight fit nothing. I had to put everything back together and then put it away again what a waste of time. I belive the ford small 5 lug pat. I dont know if this is the reason but it would be stronger to have a bigger bolt circle. Pretty sure all wheel unless made for a specific application will allow a minor amount of play. The actual lug nuts center the wheel on the hub.
Im not very happy after getting the new wheels out jacking up the car removing the wheels from the car only to find the adapters didnt fit. No 5x100 is cavlirer vw etc.
